Summer Session A, Grades 6 - 9 Mondays

Service Description

Classes at The Dreamer’s Desk will always focus on writing as a form of exploration, creativity, empathy and discovery. Each 6-week session will also have a unique focus or theme to inspire the poems and stories we will read together, and the prompts for new writing. During this 6-week session for Grades 6 – 9: The theme for this session is 'seeing.' As we read and write together, we’ll be asking questions like: How closely do we need to look at something to write it truthfully, so that a reader can see it as clearly as we do, in their imagination? How do we uncover the magical side of language, to bring what we see vividly to life on the page? And finally, how can writing also help us see ourselves and our dreams more clearly? This will be a class full of wonder, curiosity and creation!
